Really happy with the quality of service and gear provided by Eric. We were a group of 4 first time campers and all the gear we rented was simple to set up, well maintained, and very good quality. Eric also took time to show us how to set up some of the items and was very prompt and thorough in our interactions. I'd definitely recommend renting gear from here!

I needed a tent I could take backpacking that was a bit bigger than what I have. Using Gear Locker was really easy, great gear, and fair pricing. I would easily recommend using them and do it again in the future myself.

These guys were amazing and very easy to use. You just select the equipment you need and when you need it by and they're on it! Will definitely use again in the future. They have a wide selection of camping equipment for use. Very useful to a person like me who only goes camping a few times a year and I didn't want to invest in all that equipment/gear.

I rented the bundle with the pack, sleeping pad, sleeping bag, cook stove, and headlamp. The gear was all in fantastic shape and worked great for my 3 day trip. The owner Eric was really nice. He took the time to show me the equipment and how to use it etc. The price I paid for the high quality gear was extremely reasonable, and he was very flexible on pickup / drop off. I will definitely use GearLocker again!

Top-quality camping gear. We will be a repeat customer with GearLocker for sure. If you are not a regular camper, I would consider renting with GearLocker. Eric was great and made the pick-up and drop-off process very easy.

FAQ

Renting with GearLocker is simple:

 
  1. 1. Reserve your gear. Choose a bundle or select a la carte and enter your rental dates. Have a special request? Need help planning or creating a custom package? Get in touch with us, we’re happy to help!
  2. 2. Pick up your gear. Our pickup location (map below) is in East Grand Rapids, MI. Your rental gear is available on your start date or up to one day early. Send us a message and let us know when to have it ready.
  3. 3. Return your gear. Place everything back in the original container and return to us before 11:59PM on your rental end date. 

The earlier the better to ensure the gear you need is available and on hold for you. You may book as early as 6 months in advance, with the latest checkout 3 days before you start date.

You may cancel up to 7 days in advance of your rental start date for a full refund (minus transaction fee). If you cancel within 7 days of your start date, you will be charged 50%.

We understand life happens and unforeseen circumstances may arise. We promise to work with you to find a solution that works for everyone.

Currently we do not offer shipping. If you would like your gear dropped off and you live in the Grand Rapids area, send us a message or email us at hello@gearlocker.co and we will do our best to accommodate.

You will never be charged for normal wear. If you lose any items or return them with significant damage, you will be charged the full retail price for each item.
